Summary: This place could be great if they just employed cleaners who pay attention to detail. The location is fantastic, the price is cheap, but the place is awfully dirty. I had to clean things myself. The shower barely worked (the shower head blocked by untreated limescale), the shower door was broken and could not be closed. The cubicle was disgustingly dirty (black and pink). It just needed some good scrubbing with bleach. The bedding and towels appeared to be freshly laundered and clean. The skirting boards were covered in thick dust, strange spillages and marks were decorating the walls and doors. The battered metal bins need throwing out - could just replace them with cheap plastic ones. We had to cover a headboard, it was awful, they’d be better off removing them. Complementary self-serve breakfast (tea, coffee, biscuit, toast and cereal) is available, but you need to ask about it. You do need to be brave to use the shared kitchen and bleach/wash anything you use first. We ended up getting porridge pots and only used their kettle. If you’d like a hot drink, bring your own mug - there was only 1 available and no one at reception to ask. Our experience was based on booking 2 rooms, 4 people staying.
